Chaise Mauve vs Refresh

Chaise Mauve and Refresh come from the same Sherwin-Williams collection. Chaise Mauve reads as grey, while Refresh reads as blue — two distinct hue families, not close cousins. The 12-point LRV gap — 59 for Refresh vs 46 for Chaise Mauve — means Refresh will open up a space more effectively. Where Chaise Mauve leans warm, Refresh reads cool — a distinction that shifts noticeably depending on the light source and surrounding finishes. A ΔE of 25.6 puts these firmly in different territory — two distinct design choices rather than close alternatives. Below, 5 simulated room previews show how each color reads at scale — real-room photos will be added as they become available.
