About Pontata

Pontata is an independent paint color reference site. We are not affiliated with, endorsed by, or in any way officially connected to Benjamin Moore, Sherwin-Williams, or any other paint manufacturer. All brand names and color names are the property of their respective owners.

Use of the site

Pontata is provided for informational and personal reference purposes. You may browse, search, and use the site freely. You may not scrape, copy, or reproduce the site’s content in bulk, or use it to build a competing product, without written permission.

Color accuracy

Colors displayed on screen are approximations. Actual paint color appearance depends on your monitor’s calibration, ambient lighting, surface finish, and other factors. Always test a paint sample in your space before committing to a color. Pontata makes no warranty that on-screen colors will match paint as applied.

Third-party content

Color data, product names, and specifications are sourced from manufacturer APIs and publicly available information. We make reasonable efforts to keep this information accurate, but we cannot guarantee it is current or complete. For authoritative product information, refer directly to the manufacturer.

Room photography displayed on this site may be sourced from third parties. Attribution is provided where known. If you believe any image is used without appropriate permission, please contact us and we will address it promptly (see Content Removal below).

Room photography

Pontata is built around real room photos. The great majority of images on this site are genuine photographs sourced from real homes — contributed by homeowners, designers, and enthusiasts who have actually painted their spaces.

A small number of images on this site are computer-generated — created to illustrate how a color can appear in a space when no real-world photograph exists for that color. These images are not photographs of actual rooms. They are intended purely as a visual reference and should be understood as such when making decorating decisions.

Content removal

If you are the owner of content displayed on Pontata and wish to have it removed, contact us at hello@pontata.com with details of the content in question. We will respond and take appropriate action within a reasonable timeframe.

Disclaimer of warranties

This site is provided “as is” without warranties of any kind. We make no guarantees regarding uptime, accuracy of content, or fitness for any particular purpose.

Limitation of liability

Pontata and its operators shall not be liable for any damages arising from use of or reliance on information presented on this site, including but not limited to purchasing decisions made based on color information or photography shown here.

We may update these terms from time to time. Continued use of the site after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
