About the images on this site
Pontata displays room photography to help visitors understand how paint colors look in real spaces. Some of these images were originally posted publicly by their creators on social media and other platforms. We display them with attribution to the original creator where known.
We respect the rights of photographers and content creators. If you are the rights holder of an image displayed on this site and wish to have it removed, please submit a takedown request using the process below. We will act on valid requests promptly — typically within 48 hours.
How to submit a takedown request
To request removal of content under the Digital Millennium Copyright Act (DMCA), send an email to dmca@pontata.com with the following information:
- Your name and contact information (email address is sufficient)
- A description of the copyrighted work you claim has been infringed
- The URL(s) on pontata.com where the content appears
- A statement that you have a good faith belief that the use is not authorized by the copyright owner, its agent, or the law
- A statement, under penalty of perjury, that the information in your notice is accurate and that you are the copyright owner or authorized to act on their behalf
- Your electronic or physical signature
You do not need to use formal legal language. A plain email clearly identifying the image and asserting your rights is sufficient for us to act.
What happens after you submit
We will review your request and remove or disable access to the identified content as quickly as possible, generally within 48 hours of receiving a valid notice. We will confirm removal by reply.
Counter-notification
If you believe content was removed as a result of a mistaken or misidentified takedown, you may submit a counter-notification to dmca@pontata.com. A counter-notification should include your contact information, identification of the removed content and where it appeared, a statement under penalty of perjury that you believe removal was a mistake, and your consent to jurisdiction of the federal court in your district.
Repeat infringers
It is our policy to terminate the use of any content source that is the subject of repeated, valid copyright complaints.
